Being a youth in a rehabilitation centre for the first year wasn't easy. At that time, i was seen as an arrogant prick and often picked on by fellow mates. I was put into a place where they housed more than 10 troubled youths and 10 drug addicts seeking salvation and of which all older than me too..So much conflicts and dissatisfaction later lay ahead of me along the way..That's how youth started for me..i was able to experience and observe all different kinds of people from all around the states..
During my first year...lets see how i progressed..erm..from truanting school, smoking, to getting involved in triad and and fights..yea..that's basically what i learnt in the rehab..lol..i let the bad influences from the older kids got the best of me..I learnt to cheat my way out of troubles and eventually got skillful in it that i was able to manipulate and hustle extra allowance from schoolmates out from football bet con and of selling gamecards..i gained temporary wealth and entertainment..but it all never lasted..
All the 3 years total in rehab weren't in vain tho..in the end i was able to choose the rights from wrongs and under the guidance of the elders(ex-drug addicts) in the rehab, i got to know wisdom that i wouldn't hear from anyone else..except those who'd been down the road..all the do and donts..actions and consequences..my thinking grew more matured and began to give in to advices..i also learnt the art of speaking..you know..through the years around these sly people..u tend to becareful of what comes out from your mouth..like they say..words are the most vicious weapon of all..think as u speak and read as you speak..
Throughout my youth life i've realised one thing..we can never outsmart our parents and mentors on our every moves and motives..so it's best you listen and learn rather than rebel..it will not pay..love and appreciate your parents..obey them even when you think they're at the wrong..that's what i can advice the youth as a youth..i started off the wrong foot but ended up on the right path..im a youth alrite..
