This morning in school while seated down in the courtyard in school reading our books..which we do everyday..A sir..i dont know what his name is..'borrowed' our time to give out a message..he says our ultimate goal is to study..not just having fun all the time thinking the world owes us something..do we know in what type of condition our country's rubbish collectors work..do we know what it feels to be working in a rubbish dumping area 24/7?no..its proves how ignorant we are..we are given the privileges to study in a environment so good that we forget how to appreciate..whats the point of wasting 4 years of your life having learnt nothing he said..
Nobody realised how significant the message was for us teens..nobody even bothered to pay attention doing their own stuffs..how many students were actually listening and acknowledging what it meant..they are always thinking the teachers are too long-winded forever lecturing..and would be more glad when teachers could just shut up..then tell me..what would we learn then if we're always voicing out our dissatisfactions and less likely to try to understand whats really happening around us..the thing is we are to well cared for and pampered that we forget our role as teens..
We always think that life is not doing us justice and not fair to us that everything is supposed to be smoothen and spoonfed to us..like the world owes us so much..let me tell you people something my dad once told me..'the world owes us nothing..the world wouldn't care if you'll have to busk for the rest of your life..as long you don't hurt the country..you'll have to make your own choice if to obey and learn..be successful..or rebel and have fun..then regret later..' its a proverb i'll heart forever..
We should always listen with silence, listen to your parents, to your teachers, elders..as much as you don't want to..dont argue with them..respect is important..reply with silence or nod even if you think what they say don't make sense to you..Silence can sometimes be as powerful and as eloquent as words..all our words break silence, and all our words in the end swallowed up by silence..you get what i mean?..keep silent and listen with a learning heart..store up what you think is right..wisdom it is..
The more you speak the less you learn..life is all about learning and applying isn't it? So why talk back? People reply rudeness with rudeness but respect with respect..which do you choose?
